First Day Hike 2020 - FIelds Spring

Wednesday, January 1, 2020

Ring in the new year on snowshoes at the annual Fields Spring First Day Hike! We will meet at the Wohelo Lodge at 10 AM for an introduction, then we’ll hike a moderate 1.5 mile loop together. If you feel like you’re just getting warmed up, head to the top of the butte on a longer staff-guided hike, or take the trail back to Wohelo and warm up by the fire with snacks and hot drinks. Kids will receive free goodie bags and can earn their Junior Ranger badges. As always, the tubing hill next to the lodge will be open for more fun in the snow. This is event is free to attend. Snowshoes are available for rent for $5 at the park office; please call the office and leave a message to reserve your pair. A Sno-Park Pass is required for daytime parking at Fields Spring during the winter season. Parking is available at the Fields Spring North parking lot near the campground. Please dress warmly for the winter weather and call the park office if you have any questions.
