    Spokane to Sandpoint (S2S) Relay is a two-day, 200-mile relay adventure for you and your 11 closest friends! Our course starts on top of Mt. Spokane, descends to the Spokane River, cruises nearly the full length of the Centennial Trail to Coeur d'Alene and finishes on the beach of Lake Pend Oreille in Sandpoint, Idaho. Do not let the distance dissuade you! S2S is meant to be enjoyed by runners of all types from the couch-to-5K newbie to the hard core elite. Now in it's 12th year, S2S has fun, scenery and camaraderie for all!

  1. "Please Be Seated" Chair Making

    Students will design and produce seating from their own inspiration. Possible projects range from a small stool or bench to developing a chair prototype while learning about the joy and complexities of seating design. We will review the attributes of wood and how its properties relate to chair structure and fabrication. Discussions will include techniques of joinery, ergonometrics of seating, as well as the sculptural considerations of designing furniture viewed completely “in the round.”
