Enjoy a festival, join a fun run, tour an interpretive site, or just make your own celebration with a family picnic or camping trip. Choose from dozens of activities and events throughout the year. You can submit your state park event via email to get it placed on the calendar. The Discover Pass is required for vehicle access to Washington state parks and state-managed recreation lands.     WinterFest 2019 event: Search for unique hand-blown glass treasures by world-renowned glass artists, Mark and Marcus Ellinger. One clue ball per day at Cama Beach State Park will be hidden. Come to the Welcome Center to view the balls and learn about Cama Beach!

  4. Crankie workshop

    WinterFest 2019 event: What's a crankie? Crankie is an old storytelling art form. It's a long illustrated scroll that is wound onto two spools. The spools are loaded into a box which has a viewing screen. The scroll is hand-cranked while the story is told, a song is sung or a tune is played. Build your own with the help of Sue Truman.

  5. Face painting and roll-up candles

    WinterFest 2019 evetn: Transform your child's face into a tiger or fairy with a face painter. At the same time make small bubble wrap candles to create snazzy cake toppers, or roll larger, scented ones to have great pillar candles that'll be sure to brighten up any room. You can find us at the historic store at the north end of the beach.

    Santa and Sparky the fire dog will be arriving in a decorated fire truck with lights and music. Bring a donation of food or a toy to help those in need during the holiday season. The event will be held at the center lawn area on the beach with a solstice fire and s'mores.

Fields Spring State Park

  1. Tracks in the Snow: A Winter Story

    Celebrate the first day of winter at Fields Spring State Park and meet some of the creature characters in our winter wonderland. We will play games outside then take a short walk to Wohelo Lodge. While there, kids can earn their Junior Ranger badges and will get a hands-on introduction to local animals and their tracks. Please dress warmly for the winter weather and call the park office if you have any questions.

Lake Easton State Park

  1. Guided snowshoe hike

    December 21, 2019, 1:00 PM - 3:30 PM @ Lake Easton State Park

    Hikes will be about 3 miles on moderate terrain and last approximately 2.5 hours. All ages and ability levels are welcome. Guides will share tidbits on natural history, snowshoeing basics and safety information during the hikes. Bring snowshoes, poles, layered clothing, boots and water.

    For more information about the snowshoe hikes, call (509) 925-1943. Participants should call after 9 a.m. on the day of the hike for status updates. Cancellations may occur due to road closures or other winter access issues.
