  2. Spokenya Run

    July 20, 2019, 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM @ Centennial Trail State Park

Beautiful 7k course begins at Life Center Church, carries runners west and then onto the Centennial Trail along the Spokane River. Course continues along the river before turning onto the Spokane Falls Community College Campus. A “mini-doomsday hill” awaits, with African drummers helping you keep the beat, and a water station at the top. Next the course takes runners through the wooded Mukogawa campus, and back towards Life Center Church. Spokenya lets runners choose to carry water on their heads – Kenyan style. Finish the last 100 meters of the race with a bucket of water on top of your head. This is how women and girls in Kenya must transport all of the family’s water. It’s a challenge for sure.
