Polar Plunge 2020
Wednesday, January 1, 2020
Start the new year with a big splash!
The festivities will begin at 10:30 a.m. with registration, music and merriment on the shore. The plunge is at 11 a.m. Warm up afterwards with hot drinks, concessions and Ivar's clam chowder. The first 200 registered participants will receive a Polar Plunge knitted hat and a choice of coffee or hot cocoa.
Get your friends or colleagues together and organize a team. Costumes and team t-shirts are encouraged! Spectators are encouraged to come out to cheer on the athletes as they dunk in the cold waters of Lake Sammamish.
Entry fee is a minimum $10 donation to Friends of Lake Sammamish State Park.
NOTE: $10 Discover Pass is normally required to enter the park, but Jan. 1 is a State Parks free day, so a Discover Pass is not needed!
