First Day Hike - Painted Rocks

Wednesday, January 1, 2020

Washington State Parks, REI and the Riverside State Park Foundation are partnering to host this beginner and kid-friendly First Day Hike. It is approximately 3 miles round trip. Participants will hike along the Little Spokane River and enjoy sites of waterfowl and potentially other wildlife such as deer, moose and turkeys. Participants will have the opportunity to learn about the park’s history, flora and fauna.

Participants should meet at 1:30 p.m. at the Painted Rocks Trailhead located at 5626 W Rutter Pkwy, Spokane. Enjoy a hot beverage and light snack with REI before the hike. Visitors are not required to display a Discover Pass as it is a State Parks free day.
