Willapa Hills Trail State Route 6 crossing is a Capital project now undergoing environmental review. It is projected that construction will commence in fall 2020 with completion by 2021. The primary purpose is to remove the existing at-grade crossing at mile post 48 and replace it with a bridge that separates vehicles from trail users. The structure located in Adna will resemble a railroad bridge. Two ramps at a 5% slope will provide access to the bridge which will accommodate walkers, bikers, and equestrians. Completion of this bridge will provide continuous trail for approximately 28 miles, reaching well into Pacific County.
It is projected that construction will commence in Winter 2021 with completion by early 2022.
