Led by Artistic Director John Clayton, Jazz Port Townsend is the summer jazz camp designed to take you to the next level of musicianship. There’s a lot to learn at Jazz Port Townsend in 2017. We’ve made changes in our Vocal Track and Educator Track we think you’ll love, and we have several instrumental faculty who are new this year. Whether it’s your first time here or your 31st, you’ll find lots of fresh input on how to improve throughout the year.

These interpretive talks will immerse visitors in the history of Mt. St. Helens. Participants will travel through time to learn about the devastating 1980 eruption, the ever-changing landscape and story of recovery, the incredible return of wildlife and the important job volcanologists perform every day monitoring the Cascade Mountain range of volcanoes. Programs last 15 to 20 minutes and take place outside at the amphitheater.

Join our interpretive hosts at Spencer Spit State Park for a relaxing morning of birding! Bring your coffee mug; we'll supply the fresh brewed coffee, cream and sweetener, and hot chocolate for the kids. We'll enjoy a slideshow of birds found on Spencer Spit, then explore the marsh, shoreline and forest in search of birds. Meet at the Nature Center located at the entrance of the campground.
