You can submit your state park event via email to get it placed on the calendar. The Discover Pass is required for vehicle access to Washington state parks and state-managed recreation lands. Deception Pass State Park

  1. Discovery Center

    Stop by our Discovery Center at Rosario beach anytime from noon to 4 p.m. to check out the displays or talk with our expert volunteers from the Deception Pass Park Foundation. Located in a historic Civilian Conservation Corp (CCC) bathhouse, the center is jam-packed with animal pelts, microscopes, tide pool critters and a coloring table. A visit here should be on your must-do list while in the park. The Discovery Center is sponsored by the Deception Pass Park Foundation.

    Spend a week living, learning, and playing music with masters of a wide variety of fiddling styles. Fiddle Tunes provides an opportunity to be in community with the bearers of fiddle traditions. The goals of the gathering are broader than improving your skills as a musician, and include discovering culture through music, learning music in a cultural context, and building lifelong relationships in the fiddle music community. To many, Fiddle Tunes is the finest summer fiddle camp in the US.

  1. Mt. St. Helens Visitor Center formal talks

    June 1, 2018 - September 3, 2018 @ Mount St. Helens Interpretive Center

    These interpretive talks will immerse visitors in the history of Mt. St. Helens. Participants will travel through time to learn about the devastating 1980 eruption, the ever-changing landscape and story of recovery, the incredible return of wildlife and the important job volcanologists perform every day monitoring the Cascade Mountain range of volcanoes. Programs last 15 to 20 minutes and take place outside at the amphitheater.

  2. Mt. St. Helens Visitor Center wetland guided walks

    July 1, 2018, 10:00 AM - 10:45 AM @ Mount St. Helens Interpretive Center

    Visitors will explore the wetland ecosystem of Silver Lake on a flat, slow-paced, 45-minute guided walk. Created from a Mt. St. Helens' eruption thousands of years ago, this area is home to unique flora and fauna, as well as an abundance of migratory birds.

    All programs are subject to cancellation due to inclement weather, staffing availability and attendance levels. Program information is advertised daily on the visitor's center front bulletin.
