Beginning at the Discovery Center at Rosario, this will be a one-hour guided hike along the Rosario Beach/ Bowman Bay Trail stretching 0.5 miles.

    This is a one-way hike that ends at Bowman Bay, near the CCC Interpretive Center. Feel free to explore Bowman Bay or join Matt as he walks back to Rosario. We hope to see you there! >br>

Over thirty of the country’s best acoustic blues musicians take participants on a journey through history and tradition with classes designed to honor traditions as well as build skills and inspire new traditions. Jam sessions stretch from the afternoons until dawn.

    This generous community shares your passion and energy, and we can almost guarantee that by the end of the week you AND your playing will be heading in new directions. Daily classes are offered in Delta, Piedmont, Hill Country, and Ragtime styles; blues guitar, finger-picking, slide guitar, harmonica, violin, mandolin, banjo, piano, bass, accordion, ukulele, singing, washboard, gospel choir and history, all taught by masters of early traditions.     This will be an intensive 2-day workshop using handbuilding, slab and press molding to investigate sculptural and functional expressions in clay.     Ekphrastic creation is when a poet is inspired by a piece of art, and writes poetry that leaps off from that inspiration, becoming a new form on its own. In this weekend session, we will turn the ekphrastic process around. You will listen, read and absorb poems and then respond with visual creation. Poems will be provided from many sources including well-known writers such as Wallace Stevens, David Whyte, Lisel Mueller, Mary Oliver, William Stafford, and Billy Collins as well as regional and other contemporary poets. You will explore different modes and mediums of expression including typographic, narrative, symbolic and non-representational ways to convey the feeling and the tone of the poems. Your art will honor the mystery of the poet’s magic. Previous art experience helpful but not required.

    To celebrate National Park Service's 102nd birthday, today is a State Parks "free day" when a Discover Pass is not required to visit a state park. Please note, free days apply only to day use (not overnight stays or rented facilities). A Discover Pass is still required to access lands managed by the Washington state departments of Natural Resources and Fish & Wildlife on these days.
