OLYMPIA – Nov. 18, 2016– The Friends of Lake Sammamish State Park are bringing back the annual bonfire, lighted boat parade and hot chocolate lakeside tradition at Lake Sammamish State Park.
The family event begins at 4:30 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 3, at Tibbetts Beach in Lake Sammamish State Park, 2000 N.W. Sammamish Rd, Issaquah. (Directions: https://goo.gl/maps/U4NEnxiu2182) The event will last for about an hour.
The Issaquah Singers will lead the holiday caroling, and beach bonfires will provide the warmth. The Friends of Lake Sammamish will provide hot chocolate. Participants should wear warm clothes, sturdy shoes and gloves. organizers also suggest participants bring flashlights and chairs.
The event is free, but participants will need a Discover Pass for vehicle access to the park. More information about the Discover Pass is here: www.discoverpass.wa.gov
