Glazing in Oils & Acrylics with Chris Witkowski
Saturday, January 12, 2019
This class offers a great way to start the new year by presenting a technique that will help you salvage those paintings you’ve given up on. You know....those poor lonely ones turned to the wall, stacked in a corner. The paintings you think you ruined. Maybe they’ll never be a masterpiece, but they can provide a perfect excuse to practice the technique of glazing. Adding a judicious glaze of color can enliven a dull area, develop the range of values and just possibly give that painting a spot on your wall. It makes sense that transparent colors would be for glazing and we will be discussing the difference between opaque and transparent pigments to help clarify that.
