Volunteer Beach Naturalist Training at Deception Pass State Park

Deception Pass State Park is looking for volunteers dedicated to being stewards/ protectors of the Rosario tide pools. Interpretive staff will host weekly free training dates in the West Beach Shelter to educate volunteers on relative topics as they will interact and educate the public that visit this fragile ecosystem.
People who spend at least 24 hours volunteering receive a complimentary Discover Pass.Training days will be: 03/21/2018, 03/28/2018, 04/04/2018 and 04/11/2018 from 6pm-8pm each day. It is required to attend all four training days.
A mentor day will occur on 04/21/2018 from 12pm-4pm, where new volunteers can pair up with experienced beach naturalists and explore the tide pools with expert Dr. Benjamin Miner to help get their feet wet and comfortable.
