Enjoy a festival, join a fun run, tour an interpretive site, or just make your own celebration with a family picnic or camping trip. Choose from dozens of activities and events throughout the year. You can submit your state park event via email to get it placed on the calendar. The Discover Pass is required for vehicle access to Washington state parks and state-managed recreation lands. Lichens and Why They're Important to the Forest in Rockport State Park

Come and learn about lichens and why they are so important to the forest ecosystem! This program will be lead by Dr. Katherine Glew, associate curator, University of Washington Herbarium, Burke Museum of Natural History.

Visitors can also duck into the family-friendly Discovery Center, enjoy free refreshments and hot cocoa by the wood stove, explore interactive displays, watch nature videos, read books and make crafts.
