The south campground has been permanently closed due to continued shoreline erosion as well as the loss of sanitation facilities. Campsites continue to be available in the main campground, west campground, and marine water trail campground."
Moorage and rafting limits on the two South End Buoys are restricted to 36 feet. Boats 37-feet and longer are prohibited from using these buoys. Limits are posted on the buoys.

The Umatilla Rock Trail has a section that is difficult to travel because of a switchback that has been washed out. The trail is navigable by hiking around the northeast point of Umatilla Rock to connect to the Dry Falls Lake Basin.
