2018-2019 SEASON
GROOMING UPDATES:
2/14/19: The Wind River Highway and Curly Creek Highway that connects the FS 90 Road to the Wind River Highway is Closed at this point, and the County is working tomorrow and over the weekend to try to open those roads.
Because the Roads are closed:
- The Lone Butte SnoPark is CLOSED,
- The McClellan SnoPark is CLOSED,
- The Koshko SnoPark is CLOSED,
- The Old Man Pass SnoPark is CLOSED
The Snowmobile and Cross Country Ski Trails have NOT been groomed this week, as the roads have been closed all week. The roads are gated at the intersection of the FS 90 Road and the Curley Creek Highway and also gated at the Fish Hatchery
Old Man Pass is only plowed once a day if conditions call for it and is lowest priority after all other County Roads have been plowed. The Wind River Highway will be plowed thanks to funding from Washington State Parks. The FS 90 Road from Cougar to Northwoods will be plowed and paid for by Skamania County and PacifiCorp.
Thursday 2/7 there is two feet of new snow at this Snow Park, and the snow on these trails is about four feet in the open, and a little less on the trails under the trees. We groomed and set track on both the inner loop between the three SnowParks, and we also groomed the scenic loop "outer loop" and set track there as well. The trail out to McClellan Meadows was groomed, however due to bridges missing east of the McClellan SnowPark on both sides of the wind river highway that section of the inner loop cannot be groomed.
Groomer: NW Snow Grooming
REMEMBER:
Grooming reports are updated when trail grooming information is provided. Reports are posted Monday thru Saturday. No updates on Sundays or holidays.
