State Parks License Plate


Support arts and education in state parks by purchasing a Washington State Parks license plate.

Funds raised by license plate sales are dedicated to support:

  • Outdoor EducationLicense Plate
    From Junior Ranger programs to guided hikes to campfire talks, sales from state parks license plates fund our Interpretive Program, which provides educational opportunities in parks.
  • Folk and Traditional Arts Events
    The Folk and Traditional Arts Program sponsors performances in state parks by musicians, dancers, craftspeople and storytellers who represent a wide variety of old and new Washington traditions. To see upcoming events visit the program's webpage.
  • Sharing Washington Heritage Stories
    The Washington State Parks and Recreation Commission cares for some of our state's most significant natural and cultural sites. Funds from license plate sales help pay for exhibits, educational displays and programs that bring our shared heritage to life.

 

Cost and ordering

The initial cost of the plate is $40 plus regular tab renewal fees, with $28 of the plate’s cost going to Washington State Parks. After the first year, the cost to keep the license plate is $30 in addition to tab renewal fees, with $28 going to Washington State Parks.
