Washington State Parks is considering expanding the long-term boundaries of Moran State Park and Obstruction Pass State Park on Orcas Island to include three properties totaling approximately 358 additional acres. See below for map showing the areas. Expansion of the park’s long-term boundary will provide opportunities for additional parking, trails, and water access while also preserving habitat. Public input on the proposed long-term park boundary expansions is encouraged.
The long-term boundary expansions will be considered at the Washington State Parks and Recreation Commission’s meeting on March 22, 2018 in Snohomish. Comments will be accepted through Friday, March 16, 2018.
